Inspiration

The Mannin Hotel site was spotted by the local real estate developer and entrepreneur Keith Lord.

Keith has over 50 years experience in building trade and has successfully built and opened a number of self-catering tourist accommodation units around the Island.

Tourism sector on the Island has shown growth and stability since the economic crash and Keith recognized the need for a high quality hotel. Mannin hotel site was a perfect fit thanks to its proximity to town centre and Villa Marina & Gaiety Theatre complex.

Keith is a keen lover of Archibald Knox and Rennie Mackintosh work, the influence of these two famous artists can be seen in the design elements of the Mannin Hotel. Archibald Knox has been an inspiration in our clock design and many of the structural stainless steel elements. Our restaurant dividing walls and “The Lantern” feature Rennie Mackintosh glass art style.

After very long 3 years, the wait is finally over and the Mannin Hotel opened its doors on 15th of April 2016.
